We're always looking for quality preloved children's books for ages 0–12. It's an easy way to clear some space, make a little money and know that books your children have loved are going on to another home.
What will we pay?
We typically pay 20p–£1 per book, depending on the title, condition, age, popularity and current demand.
Some books are more sought-after than others, so the amount we offer won't be based solely on what the book originally cost. We'll always look at each book individually and make you a fair offer based on what we're looking for.
What books are we looking for?
We accept children's books from newborn to age 12, including picture books, board books, early readers, chapter books and much-loved classics.
For us, condition is really important. Every book we buy needs to be in very good condition and ready to be enjoyed by another child.
We look for:
✓ Very good overall condition
✓ Clean and well cared for
✓ No rips or torn pages
✓ No scribbles, colouring or writing
✓ No missing pages or pieces
✓ No water damage, mould or strong odours
We know books are made to be loved, so we're not expecting them to be completely untouched. We're simply looking for books that still have plenty of reading adventures left in them.

We accept books from anywhere in the UK, and we've made our postage options as simple as possible.
Up to 20 books
You arrange and pay for your own Evri postage.
21–30 books
We'll contribute £3 towards your postage costs - Refunded upon receipt of your books.
31+ books
We'll provide a prepaid Evri postage label, so you won't pay anything to send your books to us.
We recommend sending a good-sized bundle wherever possible, as this makes the postage much more worthwhile.
How it works
1. Tell us about your books
Email us at hello@thelittlechildrenslibary.com with the subject "Sell my books" and let us know roughly how many books you have and what sort of books they are. Upload some photos to help us get an idea of your collection.
2. We'll let you know if we'd like them
We'll review your submission and, if your books are suitable for our current stock needs, we'll send you everything you need to get them to us.
3. Pack them up and send them
Follow our simple packing instructions and send your books using the postage option that applies to your bundle.
4. We check your books
When they arrive, we'll individually check them against our quality requirements and confirm which books we're able to purchase.
5. You get paid
Once your books have been checked and your offer is confirmed, we'll arrange your payment.
